500ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Slightly roasty, dark malty and sweet-ish, caramel malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a bready touch of pumpernickel. Taste is initially watery, slightly bitter, roasty dark malty and minimally bitter hoppy, more body in the middle part with additional caramel malty flavours, minimally metallic overtones. Watery texture, indifferent palate, medium, scattered, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Simple, monotonous - meh!

Schmucker Schwarzbier, Flasche von den Kastenschleppern, Michelstadt. - Kastanienrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase verhaltenes dunkles Malz, Kakaopulver, milde herbale Herbe, ein wenig Orangenschale. - Antrunk weich und schlank dunkelmalzig mit blassen Röstnoten, Mokka, etwas Kirsche und feiner Malzsüße. Milde, schwach muffige krautige Hopfung, etwas Orangenschale. Milder rezent. Im Abgang mild malzbitter und fein hopfenherb. Leicht muffig-torfiger Nachgeschmack. - Wie die meisten Schmucker-Erzeugnisse arg mild, stellenweise dünn, aber doch frisch, rund und süffig. (28.10.2021.)

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Dark red brown in the glass. Nearly two finger light beige fine foamy head. Sweet malty on the nose. Taste starts sweet malty, very low toasted malt, some caramell. Easy drinker.

Bottle from Maruhn. Clear dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty and a little roasted malt. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 290115

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, erdig, leicht süß, schokoladig. Geschmack röstmalzig süß, trocken, leicht schokoladig.

Red brown good head little malty note smooth low bitterness some roasty not very dry nice drinkability

Head: beige, small, frothy, avg. retention. Colour: deep amber-brown, clear.
Aroma: malty, bready, light roast.
Taste: slightly roasted, dark bread, light bitter. The body is quite thin, mostly dry not much fruitiness or caramel -- easy to drink.
