Definitely some guanábana here. Love that fruit. Pours clear golden with no head, lacing. Lots of citrus. Tart end. Tap at Fire Works.

Fairly hazy deep orange and copper coloured body with a bright golden tint and a good, three to four centimetre tall off-white head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of soured, tart fruits, apples, bananas, pears, light spices and a heavy dose of papaya and melony funk that of course could be ascertained to guanabana (soursop). Medium-bodied; Relatively strong sour and tart flavours dominate with fruit everywhere and a light sweetness, seemingly all from the fructose here with a good effervescence and more than a touch of lemons and citrus fruits that add to the mouth puckering quality near the end. Aftertaste is rich with fruits with a nicely structured malt backbone and a good layering of sweetness than tart flavours. Overall, a very nice and well-designed beer with a great balance of malt, fruits and tartness that provides an insight into a more rich and 'filling' fruit that shows like a melon or papaya with richness, but also a lot of flavours, and is quite tart and robust throughout, but the other fruits add to this complexity as well, in a good way. I was pleasantly surprised by this one, since some of Caboose's beers aren't my favourite, this one was really a shock because not only did I like it a lot, but it was constructed very nicely. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 21-August-2020 for US$4,94 sampled at my house here in Washington on 19-September-2020.
