On tap at the GJBF Osaka. kind of a cloudy browinsh gold color, more of a banana aroma than any other weizen I had at the fest with a hint of spiciness. Definitely more of a fruity than spicy weizen. Very nice but I prefer cloves over banana. A rich malty body, good stuff.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, from Frizzz Gtänkemarkt, 20130515) The beer poured muddy orange. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had clove, fruitiness, malts, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. A bit different but still tasty hefeweizen.

500 ml Bottle. Light to medium brown with a high, fine head. Color like a Schneider. Nice nose, rich and subtle and unique: banana, apricot, light smoke, citrus, light caramel. Complex and lovely. Not very sweet, bready, spicy, chocolate, light tartness, light banana. Very balanced and complex. Delicious. Good tangy edge, very drinkable. Clean, full. World-class, and as good as its (festival, not RB) reputation.

50 cl bottle. Rated on 18.11.2009
Murky, dark orange colour, disappearing head. Aroma is sweetish with banana, wheat and some yeast. Flavour is somewhat stale with ripe banana and some wheat. Good.

Pours a slightly hazed deep amber into a weizen glass. Huge tan head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing to coat surface. Sweet yeast aromas. Soft with dark caramel and mild bubblegum. As described, it is spritzy in the finish.

Bottled at La 100 de Beri, Bucharest, Romania. Cloudy pale amber, firm creamy head. Distincy aroma pof cloves and banana. Medium bodied with spritzy creamy mouthfeel, Spun sugar and mashed banana in a finish almost without bitterness. A pleasant weizen.

Hefig-malziger Antrunk in genau richtigem Verhältnis, harmonisch. Solide! 11/11/11/12/11/11

16.9 oz bottle poured into a weizen glass. A classic example of the style. Aroma and taste is fantastic banana clove, wheat and mild hops. What makes this stand out is the slightly more malt they use. It creates a darker color and the malt gives it a bit more body. This won two gold medals ( 2006 and 2008) for a reason. I dream of the day I can get this on tap. FANTASTIC hefe.

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass darker than exspected, nice head. Starts malty and fine fruity with notes of banana. Well balanced finish, not too dry, still fine fruity. Very drinkable and good hefeweizen!
