Reviewed from notes.
Can to weizen glass.
Appearance: dark amber to brown cloudiness with a four finger off white foamy head which dissipated nicely and left a remnant of bubbly lace
Aroma: sweet wheat, banana, clove, caramel sweetness and a touch of earthiness
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to clove-like spicy quality; finishes semi-dry with some banana and clove
Texture: medium bodied; sessionable; some smoothness and the kick and/or bite of wheat seems a bit tamer than some other weizen styled beers I've had; good carb level
Overall: seemed way darker than a superior styled hefeweizen - was this supposed to be a dunkelweizen? hmmmm...but then again the aromatics wouldn't really fit here, hmmmm...and that kick and/or bite seemed way weaker than I expected it to be.

Unclear amber with a foamy head. Fried banana, some clove, estery notes, lemon juice, some caramel. Dry citrusy bitterness, malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty malty bittersweet finish. Good Urweisse!

Copper colored with a foamy head. Yeasty, dough-like aroma with understated banana. Taste has a bready, yeasty, dough-like sweetness up front. There’s a mineral and grainy bitterness at the back. Clingy, chewy body, moderate carbonation. Grows on you.

It's a bit darker and has less of the traditional banana clove flavors of the premiere German hefeweitzens.

16oz can pours out copper color topped with a sand head. Nose is nice sweet banana bread spice notes. Taste is more of the banana bread notes spice and a wheat kick.

(Thanks, Jim! ozzy70) Can. A- Straw, mild clove, bready. A- Copper color, clear liquid, white head. T- Malty, caramel, wheat, mild banana. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Didn't taste like any hefe I've had before. Almost more like a dunkelweizen IMO. Not bad just not really traditional I'd say.
