Pretty solid imperial stout from these guys, which I don't remember saying in a while. I like Commonwealth a lot, just don't like the whole Marvoloso line. But this one comes in with the kind of bitter body I prefer in stouts rather than a sweet chocolate cake. There's still some sweetness here, chocolate and hazelnuts. But the coffee and roast overpowers it. Black pour with good mocha head. Big body. Bitter end with some carame. Tap at brewery in Fairfax City.
