Fugitive Rooms is a Czech-style pilsner. While we’ve given this beer a makeover since its original release, it remains an exercise in simplicity — a faintly golden, continental lager brewed almost entirely with Weyermann Bohemian Pilsner Malt. Floor malted in Czechia from Bohemian-grown heirloom barleys, this rustic malt is world renowned for round, earthy flavor and aromas of biscuit and honey. And we’ve sought to coax additional depths of flavor from it through patience and technique, including our version of a single decoction.
Michigan-grown Saaz assertively animates this crispy. Like its traditional European counterpart, the cultivar is floral and spicy, just… more so. And Fugitive Rooms is naturally carbonated, in case you’re into finer, tinier bubbles.
From behind the bar, there was a whisper: Fans of last year’s Superczech will find a lot to love here.

Some saaz, some boiled grain. Golden pour with decent lacing, not much head. Crisp and bitter finish, stays with you for a bit. Tap at brewery.

16oz can pours a clear gold with a ring of white head. Nose has malt and flowers, a little lime. Flavors all follow. Some corn. Finishes crisp. Decent. 6 4 7 3 12
