Creamy light brown head stayed on a reddish brown slowly carbonating body. Spiced fruit, berry & bitter aroma. Medium bodied, sharp & dry. Spices , berries, caramel & bitter tastes with a long tangy finish. When did a Pint of Bitter become Golden Ale? Excellent Bitter!
Bottle from the Orkney Brewery. Pours an almost clear copper brown colour with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of toffee, caramel, biscuit malts and hints of citrus and spice. Taste is again very similar to the aroma with the same notes. Light to medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel with very light carbonation. Nice subtle earthy hop bitterness on the finish. Lots of flavour for a low abv beer. Good.
