Macaroon Medianoche is the result of blending our base Medianoche with adjuncts from North Park's Macaroons Before Dying. This indulgent barrel-aged imperial stout was aged for over 34 months in a combination of Weller 12 Bourbon and Blanton's Bourbon barrels before resting on a mix of four different types of coconut: raw unsweetened coconut chips, shredded unsweetened coconut, toasted coconut, and Emperor's toasted coconut flakes, alongside Madagascar vanilla beans. To finish this full-bodied blend, we added rich caramel and Dark Matter Coffee’s Unicorn Blood espresso beans. We’re honored to create this barrel-aged delight with the legendary team at North Park.

Thanks Sam for sharing! Taster showing pitch black with no head.

The nose shows intense notes of dark chocolate and baking spices.

The palate is full bodied and oily slick with no carbonation. Moderately sweet with a milk chocolate forwardness and light bourbon in the background. No bitterness.

50cl bottle pours with a pitch black colored body that supports no head. The aroma offers up inviting dark chocolate leading quickly into malt sweetened dark roasted coffee. The taste delivers velvety slick dark chocolate yum flowing into modest levels of malt sweetness and dark roasted coffee. From time to time a faint sweet dark fruity ester note bubbles to the surface. Nice. In another sip the dark chocolate and the sweetness team up to create a dark chocolate fudge sensation. Nice brew. Wow.
