Bentos is an Imperial Stout aged with wood from rum barrels. Ancho & Pasilla peppers, cinnamon, vanilla and choco nibs have been blended and aged for more than 1,5 years into this impressive brew.

Bottle thanks to McCash. Pours oily black with a purple edge. No real head. Aromas of tar and tinned prune. Taste is chocolate and chilli, salty. Texture is really thick. Odd.

Appearance - opaque black and not much head.
Nose - liquorice, toffee and molasses with something herbal.
Taste - smoke, salt and chilli with chewy chocolate and molasses.
Palate - full bodied, smoky, very savoury and a dry finish.

Roast, alcohol, booze, oak, tannins, prunes. Nice kick!
