The beer that started it all! 608 The First Stop, is the beer that 'introduced' us to the craft scene. A conversation between friends, the mastery of Avgoustinos and the Alea team in brewing created a refreshing and easy-drinking pale ale with aromas of tropical and stone fruit. The light aftertaste of peach and citrus will not leave anyone unmoved.

Can, 0.44. Hazy orange pour, thin off-white head, no lacing. Sweet and sugary nose, malt dominated, strong caramel notes. Overripe fruits and honey in the background.

Medium body, medium carbonation, fizzy. Average mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, prickly. Unbalanced taste, mostly sweet with some harsh herbal bitterness in the aftertaste. Malty aroma, caramel, candy, honey. Overripe fruits. Orange and grapefruit in the background. Cardboard, wet grass. Slightly sticky. Long lasting finish, sweet, dry, long lasting bitterness.

Not sure what to think about this one. Definitely not as fresh as it should be. Very malt driven. BB date is ok so I guess it probably wasn't stored properly. Shame.

Can on the hotel balcony Aegina, picked up from one of the craft bars in Athens, 13/10/24. Clear golden blonde topped with a lasting just off white cap. Nose tangerine, grass, melon, light floral notes, mandarin. Taste comprises subtle orange pith, soft malts, hint of pine, papaya, melon, grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with light danko come juicy hop bitterness. Tidy enough pale.

Can. strong and juicy and fresh and very aromatic citrus and pine hoppy aroma - better than most IPA's. flavor is malty, bittersweet, some bitter hops but not as juicy and fresh as the aroma, still very good ipa flavor, and certanly very good for an APA. Hop flavor is all round, not just the bitterness. ATTIKI is not even on ratebeer, but clearly they know how to produce quality. 608 Brewing did a good job too, of course.
