Ein untergäriges Bier, mild und aromatisch. Durch den Einsatz von Spezialmalz erhält es eine rötliche Färbung. Der Rote Erik war zur Hansezeit besonders in Skandinavien beliebt.

Bottled. An amber with seen with a flash from a camera in the back ground under a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of matl, caramel, and hops, leading to a bitter finsih. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Draught at the brewpub
Red dark amber color. Light caramel aroma, and even less flavor. Low bitterness. Extremely boring.

Draught, 4.8% at the brewpub. Weak fruity aroma. Clear dark red chestnut colour. Big stable tan head. The flavour starts off roasted, but quickly turns fruity. The finish is also fruity and roasted. Easily drinkable, quite light body.

(1000ml swing top bottle) Hazy dark amber coloured with a foamy off-white layer. Initially stenchy rotten vegetable aroma that disappears after a few minutes and the aroma becomes slightly sweet with dark and toasted malts, ashy with hints of liquorice and sourdough. Sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium body, low carbonation. Moderately sweet taste of dark malts with a shy fruity note of dried fruits; slim, minimal bitter and malty finish. Definitely not a quaffable brew.

Bottle( 1 Ltr, shared with MoritzF, thanks to his sister......) Hazy, dark amber coloured, stable off-white foamy layer; fruity-malty nose with an odd, strong aroma of rotten vegetables......; sweetish-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, low carbonated; short fruity finish. An odd, nearly disgusting brew..................
