Son arôme doux et velouté nous conduit vers une saveur agréablement houblonnée et boisée.
Elle libère en fond de bouche un goût très fin amer voire fumé et alcoolisé.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Strong heady beer. A little unsubtle. Typical high percentage flavours (ie some spirits). Not bitter though. Dry finish.

Had this at the wonderfully named Locus Publicus, Delft, Netherlands, 23-06-10 Pours golden/light amber with a filmy white head. The aroma is sweet and like toffee cooking in the oven. Some toffee and banana in mouth. I keep thinking toffee ice cream as I drink this, so maybe a bit of vanill as well, very good and a great looker would be better but its a touch sweet. 330ml bottle labeled with 9.5% alcohol on the back. Pours with a modest amount of head, noticeably lacking some yeast to liven it up, dies down quickly. Okay yellow colour. Aroma of grass, hay, leather, slight grain notes. Taste is a heavy syrup with lots of caramel and sugar, excessive sweetness, slightly dry finish. Kind of meh. I was hoping for something more interesting.

On tap at Birreria Paradiso in Georgetown. Clear deep yellow that clouds as pouring progresses. Very yeasty and bready flavor. Mild herbal and licorice background. Some bitterness in the finish. Decent enough.

33cl bottle. Pours dark amber with beige head. Aroma is yeasty and some licorice/vanilla notes. Taste is liquorish malty, sugary caramel, lightly fruity (apricot). Little touch of biscuit. Overall, a very complex beer with the alcohol that is quite present.

Marked at 9.5% abv. A gusher upon opening. Pours with a creamy, off-white head that leaves pretty quickly. Barely hazy amber-orange body with tiny particles floating around. No real lacing to speak of. Aroma is pretty malty with apricots, some citrus, honey, and yeast notes as well. I like the taste . . . a lot! Nice sweet, and slightly spicy Belgian with a full body and a big wop of flavor. Very pleasant and deep. A bit of a creamy body, lively bubbles. Quite a nice drink.

Bottle. Sweet honey-orange aroma. Red amber color with minimal head. Sweet caramel malt flavor quickly overwhelmed by a metallic, astringent bitter flavor. Rough and not really very pleasant.
