This 5.2% black IPA burns the line between an American IPA and a stout, with malt and hops firing on all cylinders, in psychotic synchronicity. Roasty, chocolate and coffee notes duke it out with citrus, mango and pine. Pithy bitterness plays off roasty dryness. Light bodied, but with the intensity of a beer twice its size.

A colablack beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has tropical fruitness, mangos and some grapefruits, some coffee. Taste has mangos, some citrusfruits, coffee, the bitterness is quite mild. Medium- bodied. Fruiful, the black notes are mild.

Bottle at Brewdog Brussels. Clear dark brown, almost opaque in low light, with offwhite greyish thin head. Chocolate malts, light dank marijuana hops. Light sweet, powdery dryness, light bitter. Nice balanced base with hops on top. Light graininess in the mouthfeel, dry finish. Under medium, little watery body. Just under average carbonation. Quite alright.

Bottle at BrewDog Brussels. Black with big fluffy light brown head. Grassy and marijuana style hops, some orange and mango, soft dark chocolate underneath. Light sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. Very drinkable not that outspoken but very decent.

Aroma of citrus zest hops, dark malts, roaste malts, getting a weird hint of watermelon?
Taste of dark malts, soft roast, good quite rich dark malt background, citrus zest on top, some grassy hops, dab of coffee, slight dark cocoa, quite a complex flavour
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, maybe body bit on the light side, fairly bitter offset by dark sweet malt background. Finish of soft roast, bitter zest, soft coffee roast
Overall - Very good BIPA for the 5.2% abv. Tasty stuff.

33 cl bottle. Pours very dark orange brown colour with a huge most good lasting tan head. Aroma of bitter grassy floral hops. Taste of grassy bitter greenish hops. Some dark malt, Very good brew.

Botella 33 cl tomada en el momento en el kraken 22..04..2016. Lote074 CBB hasta 11..02..2017. Black Ipa con sabores ligeros algo carbonizados. Cuerpo ligero a medio algo espumoso y fácil de beber. Bastante buena.

Sample from bottle @ Sur & Bitter, Sandnes. Pours black, with an off white creamy head. Aroma is bitter citrusy hops, and caramel malts. Full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is bitter hops with pine and citrusy notes of grapefruit and orange peel, as well as roasted malts with bread, leather, cocoa and coffee. Bitter finish, with dry burned malts.
