Geschmacklich ist es ein klassisches Lagerbier mit wenig Tiefgang aber solider Trinkbarkeit. Aber ein Bier aus Äthiopien findet man auch nicht alle Tage, drum einen Bonuspunkt für Exotik.

12oz bottle from gift/in person trade with Travlr-thanks for the country tick and a pleasant beer. Foamy offwhite-slightly hazy yellow/gold. A-swee lt malt-honey, straw, some spice hops. Taste follows.

Jan. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle from Prosi Exotic supermarket. My first Ethiopian beer. It poured a golden body with small to medium sized head. Stinky grainy aroma, egg/honey, dusty, oily malty. Flavor was lightly bitter, grainy, metallic and alcoholic with weird hop presence. Dusty as well. Medium body with long, lightly bitter and unclean finish. As expected, a weird, boring and quite bad pale lager despite quite fancy bottling.

Bottle shared at Delirium Café, Brussels. Clear golden to amber with a small off white head. Aroma seems oxidized upfront, the bottle isn’t too fresh. Fairly malty with toffee and light fruit notes. I think probably the oxidization has actually made this better. Flavour is above light sweet and light bitter. Light bodied with light carbonation.

Many thanks for this Egzotic Beer to kevnic2008. Chyba najlepsze piwo z Ethiopii jakie pilem.

Bottle from bierpost.com. Pours a clear golden colour with an average sized white head. Aroma is of malt, hay, with floral notes. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Light body, average carbonation. It’s ok.

Better than Bedele Special and Walia. Not as good as Habesha and Harar. Some maltish taste. Had one of these in Addis at a club.
