Herb-hefiger Antrunk mit hellmalziger Alkoholnote. Lange Zeit ist das Bier mild gehalten, am deutlichsten ist neben dem hellen Malz das Getreide in Form von Gersten- und Weizennoten. Erneut leicht alkoholisch, was das Getreide unterstützt. Wenig aromatisch, dicht hefig. Süffiger Weizenbock, der sich vor allem durch seine Hefe hervortut. Er könnte ruhig noch intensiver sein. Bottled. A hazy golden with a huge fluffy white head. The aroma has notes of malt, wheat, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wheat, and fruits.

Bottle 50cl.Unclear medium to dark yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet sugar, moderate yeasty, light to moderate banana. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20090813]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Hazy golden with a white head. Fresh banana aroma with some yeast. Quite full-bodied, sweet fruit and yeast. Rather hoppy finish with some alcohol. 130809

Hazy yellow with a medium off white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with malt and hints of hops. Flavour likewise. Finished bitter.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a slowly collapsing white head. Aroma is dry, mild acidic and wheaty. Subdued sweet wheaty. Mild fruity and estery. Bitter and wheaty finish.

This Weizenbock was brewed as a one-off a few years ago when the town of Viechtach celebrated its 900th birthday. Cloudy brown colour, large head. Yeasty and fruity nose. Full-bodied, very yeasty and fruity, quite sweet. Hints of banana and plums. Great! I hope this beer will be re-introduced.
