Rye has been used in beers for centuries for its delicious and unique spicy characteristic. We combined the distinct taste of rye with the new “Zythos” hop from Hop Union. The Zythos hop has qualities that are similar to Simcoe and Citra hops that give off a distinct citrus and pine taste. With the Zythos hops delicately providing your taste buds with a well-balanced bitterness, the rye malt sweeps the tongue with its distinct spices that soothes the soul. Come on, experience the hops, let’s go crazy, and get your kicks with this delicious pale ale from the Fort George Brewery.

Rated this 5 days ago at the brewery. 2 1/2 oz sample. I love these beers with heavy metal/butt rock sounding names. LOL. {Ninkasi Helles Belles and Sleigh’r for instance}. Pours slightly hazy gold with a weak white head. Grapefruity nose and a hoppy flavor. Soft carbonation. Decent.

From tap at The Burgundian Tavern. Pours hazy yello with a small white head. Aroma is furity and light peachy. Crisp hoppy and slight citrusy. Bitter and crisp hoppy. Medium fruity. Bitter and dry hoppy. Ends dry and bitter into the finish.
