Laatste Ronde (Whiskey Barrel)

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours unclear amber-gold with a creamy cap. The nose holds ripe fruits, toffee, some caramelised sugars, lightly toasted dough and hints of vanilla. Medium sweet flavor with notes of ripe berries, sugary bread, brown sugar, more vanilla, some tannins, wood. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation; lightly chewy. Warming finish with more toffee, candied orange rind, toasted sugars, bread, light woody dryness. Novel. Not bad.

From tap. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is caramelish and malty. Smoked, minerals and caramelish. Bitter, tarish, smoked and caramelish.
