Keg at Hanssens Brauerei, Flensburg. Cloudy orange colour, small head. Caramelly nose with cloves and banana. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Sweet caramel and banana bread. Low bitterness.

Tap at brewpub. Hazy amber-orange colour, steady white and lace. Clove aroma. Light-bodied. Clove, wheat, malts in the flavour. Not much banana.

On tap at the brewpub. Trübes orange gelbes Bier mit einer ordentlichen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig, hefig, leicht bananig, Nelke. Geschmack hefig, leicht bananig, im Abgang würzig, herb, Nelken.

Draught @Brewpub. Deep amber, Dunkelweizen like color. Spicy aroma, banana, yeast, wheat in aroma. Flavor has banana, candy like notes and white bread. Bit too high carbonation. Pleasant weizen anyway.

Taste is slightly sweet mineraly, wheat, yeast, dough, hay, weeds, almond essence, minerals, banana, broth. Little bitterness, slightly harsh yeasty mouthfeel. Fair enough, not as good as I remembered it...

Draught @ the brewpub shared with MrHangover. Hazy orange color, medium sized white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma and taste are very nice. Most weizens I have tasted had way too much banana and sweet candy flavors, but this is well balanced, lightly sweet, lightly herbal. Nice suitable lightly sparkling carbonation. If all weizen tasted like this I’d sure try more of them.
