Vestfyen Classic is a slightly darker and more full-bodied beer, compared with the Vestfyen Pilsner, and brewed with the same good raw materials. Vestfyen Classic thus constitutes an excellent alternative as companion to the classic Danish lunch table.

Vestfyen Classic was launched at the beginning of 1997 and, at a very early stage, it proved to be popular. Today it is a natural element in the assortment.

33cl can from a friend. Poured clear golden in color. Not much to say here, cardboard, hay and sweet malts. Had it with food, but not very enjoyable on its own.

0,33 l vichy bottle bought in a danish ALDI market. Labeled as Uglens Classic. On the cash receipt named as Krudtugle Classic. Label design looks like a former GDR print. Real cheap with 2,75 dkr. Drunk in a holiday home out of an Amager glass (sorry guys ...). A pale copper in the glass, one finger fast fading head. Musty toasted malty on the nose. No real taste in the beginning. Later a little bit toasted malty. Hints of apples bitterness. Low carbonated. And again thin and poor stuff.

33cl can at MS Billefjord between Longyearbyen and Pyramiden. Pours golden with a white head. Usual pale lager aroma, moderate grainy with some slightly fruity and herbal notes and hints of cooked vegetables. Plain pale lager, but somewhat decent bitterness it seem. Not the worst one, quite drinkable actually, but the views might have an impact on the grade.

330ml bottle shared by djoeye. Fair white head to a deep golden body. Hints of grainy malts and apples on the nose. Bread and apple skins to the flavour profile. Lightly bittersweet end. Drinkable (Tromsø 20.04.2015).

Aroma: hay and sweet corn. Flavour: sweet corn and a dirtlike dry bitterness. Colour: amber with a white head. From: aldi mar. 2015 as uglens classic.
