Draught@Apollo, Copenhagen (May 2016). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is smoked wood, some toffee, sweet malts and mild herbal notes. Flavour smoked wood, toffee, earth and some slight yeasty and mild bitter notes. Pleasant smokiness in the finish.

On tap On tap at the brewpub. Klare kräftig orange goldenes Farbe, mittelgroße weiße schaumkrone. Geruch rauchig, etwas Schinken, kräftig malzig. Geschmack angenehm rauchig, süß malzig, etwas Schinken, würzig hopfig.

Tap@ Apollo Brewpub, Copenhagen. Poured golden, deep color, nice thick dense white head. Smoked aroma, malty, some bread. Flavor has sweet malts, smoke, hint of chocolate. Long smoky finish. Quite good smoked beer. Maybe tad too sweet for me.

250ml on tap at brewpub, 5.9% abv. Near-clear dark amber body, tiny, but stable head. Fine aroma of bacon and citric hops. Smoked taste profile along with fruit-resin ending with a fruit bitter touch. Medium bodied. A likable and rather well make rauchbier containing a nice blend of smoked malts and bittering hops (Copenhagen, 01.11.2011),

Draught @ Bryggeriet Apollo, Vesterbrogade 3, 1620 København, Denmarklight unclear medium amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light smoked. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. The smoke flavor is very close to rubber but it is smoke. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090613]

Draft. A hazy dark amber beer with a dense orangey head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, smoke, and some bacon. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, smoke, caramel, bread, and bacon, but also with hints of acidity, leading to a dry and lightly smoked finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy dark amber with a small tan head. Mild smoked and caramelish aroma. Hint of butter. Dry leathery smoked flavoured with a dry caramel to breadish dry malt backbone. Light cornish touch to the smoked finish.

On tap. Slightly hazy warm copper with a fine and creamy yellowish head. Sweetish caramellish malt aroma with a piquante smoky touch. Solid body of roasted malt and very sweet caramel with a distinct - yet subtle - Bamberg-style smoke note. A little low in carbonation. Dry and lightly hoppy finish that creates a fine balance.
