On tap at Bobcat brewpub.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a black colored slim foamy/ off white head that dissipated within a good half minute. Minimal lacing.
The smell had spicy rye over some normal bitter piney-ness. Smooth to delicate chocolate malts coming in on the background.
The taste was moderately spicy with a slight sweet underscore of rye malts. Semi-sweet aftertaste. Wet spicy finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Semi-sessionable for a black rye IPA. I don’t mind it, I think I get it.
Overall, I see what Bobcat is throwin’ down on this one and honestly, I think it’s solid and I would have again.

Tap. Pours clear mahogany, small beige head, good lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, astray, rye grains. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, roasty, pine, loads of rye spice, cocoa, a bit burned. Medium body, lingering bitterness. Nice enough.
