Our American pale ale, dry hopped with three different hop varieties. Layers of Pilsner, Vienna and wheat malts balance out the assertive hop aromas. This one is hoppy on the nose, but still has a balanced, malty finish. A great lunch beer. Pairs with mixed greens, toasted panini, or sautéed kale with garlic and tamari.

Tap. Pours hazy golden orange, small off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is very light overall, hints of bready malt and citrus pine hops. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, fairly uninspired, grainy, hints of black tea. Medium body. Meh.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a bronzed to golden color with a slight transparency about it, enough to see a light carbonation rising at a moderate pace. A light foamy white head started and dissipated to leave a cap on the top of the beer. Concave lacing clings to the sides of the glass.
The smell starts off with a sweet citrus leading into a sweet English malt. It starts to get slightly grassy with a nice little bit of pine.
The taste leads into the sweetness rolling about the sweet citrus and light grassiness. Definitely sweet driven, as it rolls into the palate side of the house and carrying a slight sweet creamy part, its light and has a light carbonation about it as well.
Overall, this was a fairly good sweet APA, bitterness is extremely low in this. I don’t see the IBU’s on the bottle nor do I see the IBU’s on ratebeer, so, in that case, the way the sweetness comes across in a nice super non-soapy way, it’s American, I can tell, its just not as hoppy. I say take it as it is and accept Stone Corral’s way of making an APA a tad different.
