First rating(50 cl bottle at Haket, Göteborg)Labeled 5.2% ABV. Sound is a deep clucking that lasts, probably due to the long bottle neck. Clear golden color, rather small white head. Sweet, bubblegum, root beer and some manure scent. Very spicy taste, phenolic and some Belgian ale yeast. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. Purchased on December 12, 2007. 4/3/5/3/10=2.5Second rating, as Braunstein Næsgaarden Classic(50 cl bottle purchased at Kvickly, Helsingör, Denmark)On March 15, 2008BB 23-07-2008Also labeled 164, batch perhaps?Label states 5.2% ABV.Shady deep golden color, white head. Draught@SBWF2007. Deep golden colour, nice white creamy head. Aroma is apples, hops and some earthyness. Flavour is wellbalanced malts and hops with some slight fruity notes. Easy to drink. 5 3 5 3 6.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish goldden colour with small off-white head and a bunch of particles floating around. Big time gushers warning. Aroma is caramel malts, fruits, some wood and also mild tart wooden notes. flavour is caramel malts, some fruits, floral notes, toffee and some mild sweet malty notes. Rich carbonation. But yes, it’s good, but watch the rick livly beginning emptying 50 % of the bottle in a big fountain....5 3 7 3 12.

500 ml brown bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Amber colour, slightly hazy. Fizzy head, poor head retention. Nice hoppy aroma, notes of fruit and honey. Fizzy mouthfeel, which takes away some of the drinking pleasure for me. The flavour is reasonably well hopped, hints of caramel, butterscotch and yeast. Possibly a slightly infected bottle. Could have been better, could have been worse. Will try another bottle later.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear amber golden with a small, off-white head. Discreet aroma - perhaps a whiff of caramel. Medium-bodied and fairly malty with a bitter hopped finish. Clean but not overly exciting. 060806
