(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 22 May 2009) Hazy (almost muddy) brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dark fruit and toffee. Slightly acetic. Malty, slightly acetic taste with dark fruit, toffee, wild berries and a touch of citrus in the finish. Not sure about the shape of this one. Hardly a success.

220ml taster on tap at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen. Ebony coloured body, with a slight haze. Brownish filmy layer. Herbal fruity aroma. Flavoured with sweet malts leading to dark fruits and berries and, in fact, a touch of rhubarb. Finishing off by smooth bitterness. Feels pleasant in the mouth and on the swallow. Interesting brew, but a bit thin(13.05.2009).

Medium offwhite lasting head. Slightly hazy light brown body. Smoky roasted almonds aroma with malty caramel notes. Dry peppery acidic caramelly taste. Thin-bodied. Sharp mouthfeel, not sure why. Smoky tobaccoish notes and some ash. Soapy. Light infection? It’s ok, but not really very good. Should rerate. (0.3l draft at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen.)

(On tap) Pours a clear, warm amber golden with an off-white head. Rustic aroma of Danish rye and burned caramel. Rather solid body with an impressive malt base rich in Danish rye notes. Dry and hoppy finish. Supposedly this was intended as a malty, English style spring beer. It came out as a Dunkler Bock. But a nice one! 260408

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of vommit and spices. The flavor is sweet malty strong strong flowery notes of hops, plus a weird spicy note, which includes notes of ginger and elderberries, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is thin.

From tap at Lord Nelson. Pours slight hazy orange with a lacing light tan head. Aroma is roasted caramel and mild butterish. Flavour is mild spiced and in a dense caramel flavour. Solid bitterness. Ends dry and with a persisting buttery and light caramel flavour. Gains a light and growing floral note in the finish and far finish.
