Sample at CPH beerfestival. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are coffee, chocolate and roast malt. Dry finish.

On tap. Pours completely opaque black with a small and creamy beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malts and some distinct peaty smoke. Surprisingly only medium-bodied, hard roasted malts and licorice, again with distinct peaty smoke. Some malt bitterness in the finish. Very well crafted. 150509

Draft. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with powerful notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol and lots of roasted malt, leading to a dry and roasted finish.

Draught at KBH Festival, 2009. Pitch black with a creamy brown head and lacings. Nose is heavy bitter roast with a vague hint of smoke and lots of coffee and chocolate. Balanced, smooth, sticky and just nice and well made. Braunstein really came forward with this serie of imp. stouts.

CBF09. Draught. ABV 9.7. Creamy off-white fair mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter smoked and roasted flavor. Long heavy bitter finsih. Creamy palate.

Draught at KØ09. Mild smoky aroma. Black colour. Good smoky flavour, mild but distinct. Sweet flavour, good liquorice. Mild pepper note in the finish.

Dark brown, small yellow/brown head. aroma is solid, i get licorice and bit roasted grains. flavor is sweet licorice, roasted grains, very solid.

Black with a small tan head. Roasted aroma with dried fruits and a touch of smoke. Not as intense as I might have expected. Roasted intense flavour with just a little alcohol showing through
