Gravicask, half-pint, shared with Finn. Roasted chocolate malty aromas, promising. Dark malt-forward flavours, hints of chocolate, dark bread, and a note of dark fruits towards the finish, nicely roasted. Easy to drink stout.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small foamy cream head and good lacing. The aroma has malts and vanilla. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture, though it is slightly watery. Flavour has vanilla and milk chocolate plus traces of liquorice. This is rather nice – certainloy punches well above it’s strength in tewrms of flavour.
