Kolor bez prześwitów, czarny. Piana brązowa, niska, nie trwała. Topnieje do cienkiej obręczy i mimo tego zakreśla delikatne kręgi.
Aromat palonych słodów, kawowy, który z czasem przechodzi w aromat gorzkiej czekolady.
Smak lekko słodki z mocnym akcentem kawowej, palonej goryczki. Choć początkowo słodki ostatecznie wiodąca jest tutaj goryczka.
Alkohol dobrze ułożony. Wysycenie niskie. Ciało pełne w dół. Tekstura nieco szorstka. Posmak długi wytrawny, palony, kawowy.

Big and bold but nothing fancy or weird. Roasted sweet malt notes, chocolate, caramel, toasted crackers, bit of molasses. Full body. A bit of earth and cereal grain. Sweet without being cloying. Well balanced. Maybe not all that exciting but still good.

Slowly building and fast disappearing tan rim over black, viscous beer. Sweet coffee, chocolated, bit perfumey, vanilla, young oak. Dry(er) coffee, with a whiff of vanilla and dark chocolate. Then whiffs of mint and fish. Certainly not as sweet as the nose suggested. Chewy, full bodied, alcoholwarming. Why so sweet? Even when this one is somewhat held back, one want water after this.
