22nd June 2008. Strewth - a scottish beer that HASN’T been divided in to cask and bottles! This blonde is a cut above. Very smooth, no bitterness. Very moderate carbonation. A refreshing orangey citrus tone.

500ml bottle. Gold with an off-white head, very lively when first poured but soon settling to a thin layer; citrus and grain aromas; grainy and sweet with perhaps a hint of peat, and a rather sour finish.

A third pint from cask at Standing Order participating the JDW real ale festival. Straight and clear amber body. Almost headless. Hints of citrus fruits in smell with a smoky touch. Different kinds of fruits in flavour with peaty notes. Drinkable, but rather too much of sweetness [Edinburgh, 13.11.2008].

2008-11-09, Cask Conditioned at J.D. Watherspoon - The Shakespear´s Head, London, 5-3-6-3-13=30
Deep blond color, creamy head. The aroma is very light and fruity. Sweetish malt flavor with light fruitness too, and a touch of honey. Simple but pleasant.
2008-11-08, Cask Conditioned at J.D. Wetherspoon - The Moon Under Water, London, 6-3-6-3-12=30
Hazy golden color. Light apple aroma in the beginning; still lightly fruity and malty later. Pleasant malty flavor, with a very light sourness that makes it more vibrant and some sweetness that is appreciated. Simple but enjoyable.

Cask at The Penny Black, JDW, Bicester, Oxon Nov 2008. Pours gold with some haze, its sweet but a little weird tasting, strung out fruitiness, light bitterness, quite favoursome, some oatiness, there’s something about this beer that I cannot quite put my finger on but its strange.
