Test vom 9.5.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,12,10,12,10 - 10,75

Herber, etwas platter Antrunk. 9/7/8/7/8/7

Bottle: Golden to deep golden, big fluffy - very slowly collapsing - off-white head; moderate sweetish-grainy nose with a light alcoholic background; robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; solid bitter-sweet finish with a bisquity touch and some well hidden alcohol. Not so flavourful, but well made and crunchy.......

Bottle, 6.8%. Mild malty aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is a little malty, has a hint of caramel. Slightly creamy, but also with a citric hint that seems out of place. Alcoholic, yes. More like a European Strong Lager.

(33cl bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big and creamy, slightly off-white head. Sweet bready malty aroma with subtle notes of draff and honey, accompanied by spicy herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft and creamy mouthfeel. Solid malty and bready taste with notes of biscuits with herbal hoppy accents, leading into an almost lasting finish with a good bitterness-sweetness ratio. Decent pale Bock, probably an alias of the Bosch Maibock (30.V.09).
