Draft @ ML Fontainas.

Draft at Moeder Lambic. Aroma of malt and grain mostly. Taste has also malt and grain, with mild citrus. Easy.

600 ml bottle. Pours a light clear gold with moderate head. Aromas of lemon wax, coriander, spicy belgian yeast and wine gums. Flat but crisp flavors of spicy yeast, dried lemons, and dry fruity esters.

Hazy straw. Medium head. Esters are pearlike, some honeyish quality, passion fruit and floral hops. Very dry, light body, delicate pale malts. The hops take on a continental subtlety, with moderate bitterness. I had it on tap later and it was just not the same beer at all - sweet, cloying and phenolic without any of that dryness. I’m wondering if it just doesn’t work on tap.

Modest head with a bright heavily carbonated yellow body. Aroma of yeast, spent gunpowder, soft canteloupe. Flavour is orange with sharp hoppy hints. Medium finish. Kinda like a weak IPA, not much exciting about this one.

Bottle - Light lemon with a touch of hay. Cloudy straw with a small white head. Light hay bitterness and some sweet lemon pith. Dry finish with some yeast.

Bottle at Farmhouse Festival Vancouver, pours a cloud yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of rustic farmhouse notes and moderate funk. Flavour is along the same lines, with loads of rustic farmhouse notes and low funk. Dry and with a toasted grainy quality on the finish. Complex for a sub-5% beer. Very good.

On tap at Mondial de la bière Montréal 2015. It pours an unclear pale yellow body under a small, white head. Sourish lemony aroma with pine cone notes. Some pale malts and a yeasty hint. It’s decently bitter, with a dry mouthfeel. Nice carbonation, medium body and flavors of lemon, some pine cones and a little peppery, yeasty touch. A refreshing one, but it lacks a bit on complexity I think. 150611

Draft. Hazy very pale yellow coloe, fluffy white head with spider web lacing. Aroma of dusty haystacks. Taste is peppery lemon and old blankets, bitter dry finish. Well done.

Slightly cloudy very pale yellow with a generous white head that fades slowly and leaves quite a bit of lace. Nose is quite floral and herbal with notes of yeast, lemon, pepper along with lighter tropical fruit and cat piss. Flavour leads with spicy pepper with some tart lemon underneath as well as a definite saltiness. There is also a light hoppy bitterness that is quite interesting. Mouth is medium- and quite dry with prickly carbonation.
