Next up in the #hashtag series is ‪#‎quadfather‬ aged on Michigan tart cherries. Since introducing The Quadfather a few months back, this delectable Belgian Quadruple has quickly become a pub favorite. One particular cask treatment with cherries garnered rave reviews from our pub faithful so we've decided to bring it to you in bottle form. This particular cherry addition was designed to be a thoughtful and most importantly, complimentary addition to a beer already rich in dark fruit and caramel notes.

Bottled with a red cap

Thanks Drew.
Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: dark brown close to purple in color with a quickly dissipating foamy head that didn't leave any lace
Aroma: dark fruits, sweet and tart notes of cherries, light Belgian spices, caramel/toffee malts, sugared plums, some woody tones
Flavor: semi-sweet with mild spices arising to blend; finishes semi-Belgian spicy with cherries and malts
Texture: medium bodied, surely a sipper; somewhat smooth but also some of that "back-of-the-throat" grip (there's a Belgian beer in here, I swear)
Overall: you know I really liked this beer despite it being slightly muddled through trying to find all the Belgian quad with this. It's a well worthy pour and would have it again if I could get it.

Bottle shared by Ryan, thanks! Pours a clear deep amber with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a combination of dark fruits and dark grains with a bit of earthiness underlying. Flavor has earthy dark fruit with some raisin, toffee and a bit of Belgian yeast.

Bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a cloudy red orange color with a medium white head. A big sweet nose, fruity, big malty caramel. Toasted malts, toffee, sugary caramel, sweet tropical fruit. Comes in a bit hot. Very good. Solid.
