On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark copper color with a swirling white head. A big malty nose, vanilla, toast, berries, oak and whiskey. The flavor comes in with massive fruity malt bases, hot whiskey, oak, vanilla, toffee. A big base and a bigger barrel treatment all melds wonderfully. Just a lovely big beer. Is anyone more underrated than Widmer these days in PDX? No.
