500ml bottle from Finger Lakes Bev-moar. Only 6.9% here, no indication of vintage, but bottles do sometimes die a slow death here. Lo-ball glass back at the hotel. Pretty quiet pour, just a few suds, nice maple color though; filtered. Minerally, acidic, woody, all good things. Overall nose is a bit muted though. Bittersweet, leafy, margarine, peach pit, hard water, old glue, warming booze, middling tartness, building acidity that gets significantly better as it warms(vanilla comes through). Thin, parching, faint fizz, not quite flat, feels stronger than it supposedly is. A solid, tannic, hard to approach cider. Reminds me of some years of Albee Hill from Eve's. I'd rate it higher if it was approachable. It can be tough.

500 ml bottle from Bushwackers. Pours a cloudy orange color, very bright, with a small bubbly head. A nice bouquet of apples in the nose, some light wood. The flavor is mostly tart, sharp, some light funkiness. tannins, some floral elements. Very nice. As I said, very sharp.
