500 ml can. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, fluffy white head. Very vague and weak sweetish aroma, hints of maize, also a hint of caramel as the beer warms up. The flavour is way too sugary and sweet, but at least there is some maltiness too, so unlike "smrprty" it is not void of flavour. Fizzy mouthfeel, minimal bitterness.

Can. Quite pale golden body, but not as pale as it’s brother smrprty. Luckily. No sediments, and a fluffy off-white head on top. Nice lacings. This is one of the brews that get’s a 3.5 on appearance from me. The aroma is quite nice, but far from outstanding, with a balance between fruity hops and pale malts giving it a slightly sweet touch. Fruity flavor with malt and some hops giving it a little bitterness. Effervescent and quite sugary in the mouth, and it has a finish that is quite short except for the sweetness. The bitterness and fruityness disappears too quick. Considering it’s market target being the youth in the ski resorts, it’s surprisingly good, but that’s it. On the other hand, I guess this is better suited for lawn mowing than many, many other Norwegian semi-macros. (080126)

500 ml can. Nice golden body with a big, but fast diapering off-white head. Vague aroma of grain and bread. Flavor is fruity, refreshing, light malt sweetness and traces of hops. Medium body and a bit short aftertaste. Decent macro lager.

Afterski was launched in early January 2008 as a Winter Party Beer and as the third and last in Mack’s party serial. It was also called a design beer. So lets start with the can label. The beer comes in 500ml dark blue cans showing arctic winter landscape and other symbols of snow, frost and winter sports. My rating of the content is based on a few cans over the weekend. Amber body colour with good clarity under a fast diminishing white head. Smell of grass added by lightly roasted and sweet grain. Clean tasting of hard water lightly malted and with rounded, smooth wheat. Otherwise the beer is characterised by shortage of taste. Light-medium palate and lively carbonated. Alright as a partner to spicy food, though. (05-06.01.2008)
