Cask (handpump) @ Barony Bar, 83 - 85 Broughton Street, Edinburgh EH1 3RJ, Scotland.Clear medium amber orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toffee, buttery notes, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [on draught at the Oakford Social Club, Reading] A reasonable sweet dark golden bitter, a little fruity, very smooth and easy drinking. Not outstanding but slips down easily; a good session beer. Re-rate 28/4/2009. Amber. Sweet, citrussy beer. Pleasantly refreshing and more tasty than I remember.
