Bourbon Barrel Aged Blended Double Mash Rye Wine
At The Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen (MBCC) in 2023 we presented a Double Mash Rye Wine called ‘The Great Locomotive Chase’. A beer that has since spent 16 months on Bourbon barrels. And for 90% that is the base for this version of Tiny Batch. However, we have added 10% of a different beer, a correction beer that was brewed only to soften, smoothen and sweeten the original batch of our barrel aged Wee Heavy, ‘Sally Skull’, that attenuated a little too high, becoming a bit dry for the style. It did the job for ‘Sally Skull, and we’re certain you’ll enjoy how it blends in with ‘The Great Locomotive Chase’ also.

Dark brown colour with small head.Aroma is sweet warming with flavour of marmalade dark dried fruit and honey nice smooth with good full body and good well balanced finish mild oily and sweet finish.

Bottle, Marko's 20k-th, big congrats my dude! Not the richest or most complex, but reasonably rich and complex. Honey, toffee. Light wood and bourbon, dried fruits. Tasty, good one. Cheers Marko!

Bottle, 20k uniques! Enormous thanks Henrik! If I can't get a beer of my own yet, as fate would have it, this felt just right in many ways. Shared with Gurthnar, Medojed & Vojta. Huge aroma, sweetish, honeyish, caramelly, buttery vanilla notes from the barrel, light alcohol, fun! Sweet taste, maple, caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, sweet, light stone fruit, but ending fairly dry, with just light residual sugariness. Likable! Growing on me really! The aroma makes it seem heavier than it is but I'm loving it!
