There’s a certain kind of magic when you’re watching your favorite football (or soccer for us Yanks) team in a pub surrounded by like-minded fans. We’ve been privileged to host the official Arsenal supporters club of Charleston (known as “Charsenal“) for a number of years now. And together with the fine Charsenal folks, we have crafted a beer perfect for those day-drinking moments.
Charsenal Pale Ale is an homage to those super sessionable English-style pale ales found across the pond. Expect flavors of toasty malts, light caramel, and enough floral hop character to keep the whole thing interesting.

A more malt-heavy golden ale, in its own way, with a lot of cracker and a clean middle laced with apple and a floral bitterness with a touch of toast on the finish. Not bad.

Draught at source: pours orange-gold with white head. Very citrusy, lemony. Taste is juicy and citrusy. Light bitterness. Fairy dry. Unfortunately the cask was not available when I visited.
