A simple malt grist of maris otter pale malt and a small amount of crystal malt is bittered and aromatized by a complex addition of a unique blend of hops. English, Czech and American hops mingle throughout the boil to give a heady flowery aroma, and a tantalising peachy flavour, offset by a refreshing degree of bitterness. Despite its complexity this beer is clean and thirst quenching.

500ml bottle @ Black Door, Helsinki

Pours light orange with a foamy head. Aroma of fresh fruity hops, some caramely malts, hints of grapefruit and berries. Taste is hoppy and bitter with some grassy hops, grapefruit and fruits. Finish is caramely and bitter with slight fruity notes. Nice, quite tasty and hoppy golden ale.

50 cl bottle @ Black Door. ”Gyle 2336, BBE 06/2014
Aroma is somewhat sweet and fruity with some caramel and biscuits. Foamy palate. Flavour has biscuits, fruity hops, some peaches, hints of caramel and hay. A bit too sweet but hoppy and nice still!

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Straw coloured with a loose cream head and light carbonation; grainy aroma with a hint of coriander; full bodied with a light honeyed sweetness that is well balanced by the crystal malt; then a dry apricoty, fruity finish. A really well-balanced and satisfying blond ale.

50cl bottle, BB 05-2013, from Beer City. Note fruitée, herbacée alternant notes tropicales, agrumes orange voire ananas, et une pointe d’épices. Le tout gardant un arrière palais de houblons nobles en amertume. Très légère en bouche, facile pour le beau temps, et on peut facilement en boire qcq pintes. Solide a tous les niveaux.

Bottle courtesy of Peter Fowler, Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon consumed 14.03.12 amongst a six pack cheers Peter Golden in colour with the merest of haze, little bit of sick with a dab of fruit and hoppiness showing through (despite the mention of sick the nose is actually fine!) Bit of fizziness in mouth with detracts a touch, middling bitterness, touch metallic, but it is quite good. Not as good as the Magus but I like it. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov14 3.3

500ml bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Hazy orange gold colour with thick off white head. Attractive initial hop aroma. More grassy hop in the mouth. Good initial sherbert hop up top, but then in the mouth the flavours get a little muddied with then a grassy hop finish. Starts well but tails off as the flavours in the mouth are not in harmony for me.
