Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Goldeny orange colour with a mediumsized white slightly off-white head that leaves lace. Aroma is bready and sweet malts along with some slight hayish and sweetish notes. Flavour is bready as well as a bit fruity and sweetish notes, some slight saltwatery notes as well as herbs. Ends rather hayish.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts very spicy and strong, fine malty notes, also a bit earthy. Well balanced finish, still strong and spicy, modest wheaty. Really good!

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Roasted malt and slight alcohol presence in the aroma. Sweet caramel flavoured with a nice counterbalance from the hops. Bitter dry and light roasted malt flavoured finish.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear, perhaps slightly hazy chestnut-amber colour, large beige head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, intensively malty with lovely caramel flavours, hints of roasetd malt and toffee. Hoppy in thelingering finish. A delicious and convincing beer - a pleasure to drink.

Bottle, 5.6%. OK malty and slightly yeasty flavour. Clear amber colour, stable tan head. Good malty flavour, a little pleasant yeast. Caramelly finish with a little graininess. 6 3 6 3 13

Draught at BBF13 as Saalfelder Märzen. Fruity aroma. Clear dark orange/amber colour. Good stable off-white head. The flavour is papery in a good way with a spicy hoppiness and chalky finish. 6 3 7 4 16

Herb-malziger Antrunk. (swing top bottle) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized, slowly lacing yellowish foam. Moderately sweet malty, slightly toasty aroma. Initially sweet malty, later drying out, getting slightly bitter towards the malty finish with delicate, well-balanced hops. Nothing special, but pretty drinkable.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden to light amber coloured, mid-sized fluffy head, quickly diminishing to a small foamy layer; sweet malty and honey in the nose, molasses and raisins too, not to forget the hoppy traces; rather sweet, a bit alcoholic flavour; short, sweet-malty (with a taste of honey) finish, some faint hoppy edges....A bit too much on the sweet side, but all in all a clean and drinkable, medium-bodied Märzen.
