Bottle 75cl.[ Courtesy of henrikb ]. Unclear sparkling with a medium red color with a average to large, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white light red head. Aroma is moderate malty, vintage, earth, cherry syrup, red wine cask wood - harsh and dry notes, cinnamon. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet, light to moderate acidic and light sour with a long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090116]

750 ml bottle from Iowaherkeye, thanks Joey! Bot in 2006 #173/272; Nose of cherries, tartness, light barnyard, and oak; murky strawberry with a big pink head; flavor is lightly tart, with huge oakiness, bready yeast, and cherry-vanilla woody fruit flavor finishing up. Very good stuff!

500th U.S. beer rating. Bottle from Iowaherkeye, thank you so much Joey. Bottle number 79 out of 272, bottled on 07/06. Color is a very beautiful pinkish hue of ruby red grapefruit juice. No clarity through the beer but a beautiful radiance. Aroma is strong cherry (almost NG Belgian Red- esque) but with lots of strong barnyard sourness. Taste is a sweet barnyard, lower on the sour though than the aroma hints. Long cherry aftertaste. Very good kriek yet unlike any sour traditional beer.

Thanks to beastiefan2k for sharing - bottle 79 of 272 - cloudy pinkish purple beer, with loads of suspended particles of what I assume to be fruit (this beer looks like it’s been tapped from the earth itself) - very earthy, cherry skins and pits in the aroma, with apparent tartness, elements of mineral and soil - the flavor is a gentle, well-balanced combination of whole cherries, wood, light spice, mild funk/sourness, moderate acidity, cobweb/mustiness - an excellent beer.

An unclear orange-pink beer with a thin white head. The looks of it reminds me more of a drink, than a beer. The aroma is lightly of cherries, with a slight sour edge. The flavor is very fruity with notes of peaches and cherries, as well as light notes of wheat on a slight acidic back ground. The end is dry and wheaty.

Sampled during RBSG 2006. Bottle #95 Cloudy medium yellow with a pink-tinged fleeting head of white. Subtle fruit aroma that finishes with some leather notes. Sweet start, tart finish. Tangy and light.
