Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: glossy copper color with some transparency about it and a quarter finger's worth of white foamy head which settled off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: floral sweet to grassy and orange peel bittersweetness; white pepper, and some light banana to light clove
Flavor: combines all the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to spicy to bitter quality; finishes with the orange peel and grassy to floral tones
Texture: light to medium bodied - maybe a closer to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness but also some of the white pepper brushes against the tongue; some dryness on the tongue as well
Overall: nicely done saison I would welcome again.

Canned 1/22/25, drunk 3/26/25.
Clear amber-honey. Medium-sized, off-white head quickly fizzles to thin bubbles on edge.
Light clove accenting rich grains, round yellow fruits, a bit of apple and various peppery phenols. Maybe a bit of floral and citrus accent, but it's light, allowing the yeast to shine.
Round and nutty with chewy grains and a very tasteful adjunct addition that doesn't overwhelm the yeast. Earthy and lightly tart. Not my favorite yeast expression, or maybe the rosehip and hibiscus are skewing my perception, as it seems very phenolic and lightly clove-y. But I think the earthiness is well-done, as well as the soft, supple texture and good attenuation. The carbonation is very low and slightly loose, however, which is odd given the can conditioning.

Pours hazy dark orange amber into a tulip. White head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Herbal hibiscus and rose hip aromas. Medium bodied with sweet clove, bubblegum and hibiscus upfront turning to orange and rose before the lasting earthy bark finish.
