65 cl bottle vintage 2012 @ hotel room, Seattle
Aroma is sweet with raisins, some ripe fruits and fruit sugar. Flavour is sweet with raisins, ripe fruits, sweet malt, caramel and hints of alcohol. Very malty finish. The bottle was not too well refigerated, but it seems that it does not matter.

0.75l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a heavy cloudy dark copper beer with a small but heavy lacing beige head. On the aroma this is quite fruity and yeasty, lot's of sweetness in this, some alcohol and ripe strawberries. It's average carbonated with a oily texture. Flavors are quite hoppy actually. I also get lots of sweetness with more ripe strawberries and red apples perhaps? Burned sugar comes forward near the finish. Quite a hoppy and bitter barley this one, but it's also quite tasty indeed with a distinct alcoholic both finish and aftertaste. 16.06.2012

Clear reddish orange with a big and lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and rather hoppy - grapefruit and fruity. Flavor is very sweet and very bitter. Dry and very bitter finish. 070712

2011 bottle. Amber with a large off white head. Aroma of toffee, prunes, dried peaches, dried citrus peel. Sweet with layers of toffee and lightening citrus flavours. Dries out a bit towards the end. Bitterness comes across as restrained, but enough to relieve the sweetness. Boozy, but there’s nothing hot about it. Some medicinal notes at the end. Enough that’s interesting about it and well-enough balanced to make sense. Friendly and warming.

650ml bottle @ ZZT IV. Slightly unclear dark red color, small off-white to beige head. Smell malts, old hops, alcohol, lightly sweetish. Taste malts, alcohol, hops, slightly overripe fruits, pine and resin. Medium body, medium carbo.

ChrisOs Kook Tasting. Hazy brown beer. Rapidly shrinking cream coloured head. Rich malt with a slight medicinal note. Medium bitterness hops. Semi soft and semi dry bitter finish. A bit odd and quite disappointing.

Bomber from Beer Run, opened 5/16/12. Pours a clear medium brown color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big toffee malts and citrus hops. The taste is toffee malts, toasted notes, caramel, bitter citrus and resin hops. Medium bodied. Liking this one quite a bit.

bottle - This dark amber brew has a pleasant aroma of rich toffee malt and hops. The flavor is a good balance of intense caramel-toffee malt with heavy hops bitterness and some dark fruit character. It’s full bodied and really good. Well done.
