This sensory getaway transports you to a corner bodega with our friends at Funky Buddha in South Florida to recreate the flavors you’d find in a Cuban guava pastry. Championing the big, bold flavors that both of our breweries are known for, we brewed an imperial cream ale, adding lactose and vanilla to impart sweet, custard-like ribbons, and guava for filling its conceptual authenticity. It’s a collaboration that’s equal parts inspiration and admiration.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Sweetish with an aroma of vanilla, custard, fruit punch, sugary, light ripe guava, 'advocaat', touch of cake. Flavour is sweetish, body is medium. An odd novelty, 15cl is more than enough for me.

Guava, candi sugar, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Murky orange-brown with moderate off-white head. Mildly sweet guava, citrus, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter straw and lemon peel flavor. Good body.

Bottle, 750 ml, courtesy of Miro B. Shared with him, Max and JFK10000. Hazy orange, white head. Fruity, guava, lactic, vanilla. Moderate sweetness. Smooth. Medium bodied.

5-3-4-2-9 Bottle, 2017 edition, shared with Inbreak and friends. Pours cloudy orange, with a big creamy head. Aroma is tart fruity notes of over ripe stone fruits, fruit peel and minerals, as well as white sugar and light wood. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart fruity notes of over ripe stone fruits, fruit peel and minerals, as well as some sugar and boozy notes.

Nice fruity aroma. Initial hoppiness, very creamy, vanilla. Good stuff! Light spice at the end.

750 ml bottle. Murky darker one color with an average head and some moderate / streaky lace. Strong for flavor. Creamy, vanilla, lactose. Fairly sweet, but not overly do. Tasty.

From backlog. Draught @ Pien, Helsinki. Tart, funky and refreshing with loads of guava, citrus, tropical notes and grapefruit. Okay.
