A European style lager brewed from the finest quality pilsner malts. This beer is fermented at a lower temperature than most Australian lagers, and employs an extended maturation period. These combine together with a mixture of kettle and late hopping to yield a crisp pale lager.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, small white head that disappears quick. Smell malts, wort, grainy and sweet. Taste malts, sweet, wort, slightly bitter. Not bad, just slightly off or something. A bit weird βsidetasteβ to it. Watery texture, average carbo, low body.

From a 375ml bottle on 27/8/2011. Pours a very light golden with a biggish head. Has a slight grass, grainy aroma. Flavour wise, there is very little to talk about. Itβs bland and sterile, with just enough evidence of malt and hops to take it out of the awful category. But only just.

Darker metallic golden beer, well-carbonated under a small white head. Corn, cornflakes, toasted malts, garden weeds, shrimp (DMS?). Toasted malts, ending on a little sweetness; again fleeting mineral/shrimp, hinting at DMS. Pretty carbonated, little bit of grist slickness, but empty palate, watery. Slightly better than average lager.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma is boring as hell, with some pale malts and a fruity touch. The flavor is pretty much the same, pale malts and fruityness, but very little of it. Bitterness? Not much, just a hint. Medium to thin body. Overall, super-boring. 110601

33cl bottle. A golden lager with a small amount of head and some bubbles. The nose has oatmeal with just the slightest hint of lemon grass on the end. The taste has more oatmeal, some hay and some freshly cut grass notes. The palate is fairly substantial for this style being medium bodied and medium structured. As expected and hoped for, there is a dry refreshing finish. Overall, a decent lager to have one or several of.

Bottle at The Rake thanks to Duff. Pale clear gold lasting thin white head. Cereal and corn aroma. Its ok some nasty adjunct but not too offensive.
