A European style lager brewed from the finest quality pilsner malts. This beer is fermented at a lower temperature than most Australian lagers, and employs an extended maturation period. These combine together with a mixture of kettle and late hopping to yield a crisp pale lager.

Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with a large white head. The aroma was light sweet tangy malts . The flavor was tangy and rather sweet but otherwise a fairly typical industrial brew. Medium length tangy sweet finish. Inoffensive and fairly quaffable.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear yellow golden with a medium frothy white head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a skunky corn malt and grain. Thin mouthfeel with a light malt with grain and corn. Not much going on with this pale lager from Boag.

Bottle 375ml. @ home.Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, fruity - lemon, cardboard. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Typical golden lager appearance. Small head fades to thin covering.Lots of skunk on the nose, some grainy malt and an off-putting sewer like aroma.Sweet bready malt upon tasting, followed by what seems to be pride of ringwood metallic bitterness.Massively overcarbed.

Bottle at Outback Steakhouse in Richmond, VA on 04/05/2009. Very clear golden body with a medium frothy white head. Sweet toast malt aroma with a bit of honey. Sweet toasty malt flavor, some light honey and a bit of grassy hops. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.

375 ml bottle. 10,000 miles to my store in a green bottle, and whataya get? Eye-watering skunkiness, that’s what! Pale yellow pour, thin layer of bubbles. Sometimes, skunk will clear off once you pour the beer, but not here. Can’t get a decent smell in edgewise. Okay, but there is something to taste. Some of those elusive, sharp southern hemisphere hops, for sure. Pinprick effect helped by carbonation. Pale, Heinie style malt, that is to say, not much there. I see even among Australians, where I presume they get it fresher, opnion is widely split.

Bottle, 5.0%. Rough aroma, old hops, some skunk. Clear yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is quite citric, almost lemony. Other than that slightly grainy and sourish, so the lemon note actually helps hide the other flavours.
