We have been brewing Voodoo for many years now for October. It’s our Halloween offering and it’s always fun and frivolous. It’s hopped with Brewers Gold,Equanot and Mouteaka. It’s super juicy, light and spicy.

Cask: hand-pulled pint in The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury on 9th Oct 2015. Pale golden body, clear and bright, the head a white blanket of tight foam. Another citrusy flavoured golden beer from Salopian, although they are very good at this style of brewing I am bored with them, not just Salopian, but all the UK brewers who churn these beers out month after month with very little variation in looks, aroma and taste. Maybe my palate is not trained to pick up the subtle differences? Anyway, scored objectively, even if the beer was not ’my cup of tea’.

Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 29/10/2014. Golden in colour with a slight, white, head. Sweetish beer, with a touch of citrus hops and moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask handpull at Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Gold, thin white head. Sherberty hop, golden ale with diacetyl. Not good, ok beer, but I don’t like diacetyl.

Cask, Rigbys, Liverpool. Clear golden colour with a medium white head. Fragrant, citrus hop aroma. Rather thin body. Flavour had traces of melon and hop, but nothing leaping out. Vague soapyness in there. Medium bitter finish. Nothing special.
