clear amber, smooth offwhite yellowish head. sweet yellow fruity aroma, some alc, some yest. aroma and looks are indicating something a bit heavy. flavor is sugary sweet, mellow bitter from herbs, which ends more distinctly bitter from herbs, also dried dark fruits, caramel, sweet malts. Taste is okay, but i doubt one could drink a lot of this. A strong beer for sure. aftertaste lingers very long and is pleasant. bbf 12-1-2010, sampled 16-9-2009. I agree with Torsten’s food matching hints. Being vegetarian and atheist i am fortunate that the beer is great just by itself also ;-)

Clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma of raisin and port, hot alcohol, coriander and anise. Sweet malty flavour with a grainy and husky note and spices. If heaven is like this, I’m happy to be god-less.
