0.473 l can from the brewery's German web shop. Clear, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty, gently fruity aroma of caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts and some raisins. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly roasty and a bit fruity taste of caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts and some raisins, followed by a short, gently roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very decent brown ale, pleasantly roasty and not too sweet.

A clear dark reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of dark caramelized malt, nuts, toffee. Taste of intense nutty dark malt, caramel, oat, toffee, creamy mouthfeel.

473ml can. (Probably clear), dark chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Minimally chocolately and nutty, dark malty and slightly caramel malty aroma, a touch of milk chocolate, dark chocolate. Taste is sweet-ish, slightly nutty and chocolately, dark malty, minimally caramel malty, minimally metallic, hoppy overtones. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Nice malty flavours, could be more creamy - pretty much OK.

Appearance: cloudy chestnut brown with a decent beige head. Aroma: dark malt, chocolate, coffee, esters, hop. Slightly metallic. Taste: as described above except for the metal Medium dry, light plus bitter. Mouth feel: medium minus body, appropriate carbonation. Summary: decent.
