Backlog March 2008. Bottle. Golden body under a small white head. Aroma feels like very sweet malt. Taste is actually very sweet malt with a distinct alcohol sting. Medium body and sweet malty aftertaste. Not very impressive.

Bottle, bought as Berlin as it gets, watching Berlin Halfmarathon. Malty something. Full, even some soft crunch. Not bad.

Bottle from a nice flying salesman in front of the Reichtag. Dark golden? Sweet grain, light honey, ok grassy counterpoint. Medium full body, Strong, quite drinkable.

Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, huge head. Starts intense malty, spicy, herbal. Some metallical hints. Mild bitter background. Okay.

500ml bottle. Clear, amber colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish malty aroma with a touch of honey and straw. Taste is minimally dry and metallic hoppy, minimally sweet, strawy pale malty, a cautious touch of honey. Well controlled sweetness, not overly aromatic though.

I actually really liked this one, but then I don't have much experience with heller bocks. Almost quite close to a tripel in vibe. Just enough booze and a touch of florals. Comes off with some mercury. Pours amber with good head and lacing. Slightly sweet finish, but not overbearing. Drank outside the Drink Drunk store at like 3 in the morning in Berlin listening to gangster rap.
