Strong and full-bodied but surprisingly pale in colour, this barley wine delivers warm raspberry and apricot notes on the nose. On the palate it combines refreshing plummy flavours with a fuller, but delicate, raspberry sweetness. A pleasant, fruity and slightly citrus aftertaste. Brewed with Maris Otter pale malt.

Brewed in 2015 as a special at 7.2%. Brewed again in 2024 at 7%.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of raspberry and honeyed malt. Taste has a slightly artificial fruity tang, slightly warming booziness. Light sweet finish.

Bottle. From the petrol station at Brancaster. Cheap Baron Bigod. Fill up here before driving home. Think I’m going to move down here when I’m retired. Raspberry tinged bev is a bit IPA like. Bitter and reasonably easy drinking. Can’t imagine why this got brewed. Daft bollocks beer.
